I bring my core values of honesty, respect, and positive growth to all things pregnancy, birth, and infancy and ! My fundamental professional goal is to provide a continuity of care; starting at pregnancy and lasting through toddlerhood. I will open your hearts and minds through the lens of the young person.
Making the decision to become a parent and undergo the parenting journey is one of the biggest and most complex human experiences. I hope to be your guide through this experience; As a trained doula and seasoned youth worker, I work with pregnant people to support the pregnancy, prepare for birth, and begin setting goals for early parenthood. Some of these goals might include setting physical and emotional boundaries, diving into how to curate meaningful caregiving moments, and understanding your own impulses and reactions. Throughout pregnancy, I will guide and encourage you to trust your body through being present and honest which we will strive to pass down to your child(ren). Together, we can set a foundation for success for your new chapter. As a youth worker and infant advocate, I will show up with tools to empower each person in the family through the craft of respectful caregiving.
I completed my 60 hour course in Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) where my philosophies in child rearing are rooted. I also hold a bachelor’s degree from Rhode Island College in Youth Development. I bring over ten years of experience working with infants and families - from age birth, to preschool, to adolescence. I am passionate, capable, and excited to help you on your parenthood journey.
I will always be your advocate, but never make decisions for you.
I will provide only evidence-based information and resources to you.
I will administer a range of educational, caring and comfort measures including physical positions, movements and mindfulness techniques, but never administer clinical care.
I will work collaboratively with your care team, including physicians, midwives, nurses, partners and families.
Your pregnancy journey exists outside of work hours: I will be available for virtual support as needed before you go into labor.
I will gently guide you and other caregivers with infant centered techniques and bonding skills to foster autonomy, respect, and love.
I will be empathetic to adjusting siblings and provide support through the eyes of the young human(s).
I will empower you and your family at all times and support you through our journey .
I will approach all interactions with you, caregivers, and young human(s) with patience and empathy.
